Beer kits are made with all the bittering hops and specialty
grains already
brewed into the can. We recommend using dry malt extract, which
will give
you more malt taste, when sugar is required. Also add 1/2 oz
extra
bittering hops at the beginning of the boil to offset the extra malt
and 1/2 oz
finishing hops in the last five minutes of the boil for good hop
aroma. We
also recommend using a liquid yeast
culture rather
than the dry yeast that comes with the kit. Liquid Yeast is the
final ingredient
that makes homebrew as good tasting as microbrewery beer. These
are the
same yeast the breweries use.
